Welcome to YMCA Thames Gateway. We are a charity for young people and their communities, stretching from Greenwich in South East London to the Medway in north west Kent, South East England.

At YMCA Thames Gateway we specialise in:

Accommodation with support - providing low cost accommodation to young people who would otherwise be homeless

Skills training - A2B – A programme for 16-19 year olds that allows young people to gain qualifications and build skills and knowledge around their chosen interest or career search.

Projects for young people - offering young people meaningful and fun activities, Physical Activities, Creative Arts , Cookery and Music and Performing Arts

Care for children - nurseries providing full and part-time day care. Free entitlement places available.

Community Space - we welcome use of our space by other organisations. Call 01322 282030 for more information.

Encouraging independence

We're developing schemes that reach out into the community, build relationships, provide opportunities and encourage young people to make good choices about their lives.

At the heart of all our work is a commitment to supporting the personal development of children and young people.

We deliver a wide range of high quality, professional services that are relevant to young people, particularly those who are vulnerable, disadvantaged, or hard to reach.

Our facilities and services are available to all members of the community.
